![]() ![]() In the event there is no availability on the schedule, the patient will be triaged by the clinical team to determine if the patient needs to be seen that day or scheduled for another day and given care instructions in the meantime. Walk-in patients will not be seen ahead of scheduled patients unless patient symptoms require immediate attention of the medical staff. If an appointment time is available the patient will be given the next appointment. Walk in appointments are for sick patients only. We accept walk-ins Monday thru Friday when we can accommodate them. If by chance you are unsure if you really need to come in, our highly trained Clinical Staff will assess your child's chief medical complaint and offer assistance in the most appropriate course of action which, in some cases, may be to go directly to the emergency room. Between the ages of 4 and 6 years old, your child will need several booster shots. Here's what else you can expect at the 5-year well-child visit: Immunizations. The doctor may also ask questions about your child's friendships, eating habits, internet use and safety. During flu season, we open our schedule up for more sick visits. This helps show your child's social and emotional development. We provide an ample amount of slots in our schedule to accommodate sick visits. Be sure to tell our front office staff that your child has had an acute injury so we can properly help you. Sometimes injuries happen during the day and we can help assess whether it is best to come to our office or go to the emergency room. These are convenient same day “nurse visits”. In that case, we take advantage of our mini-clinic to triage patients who may merely need a throat culture, urine specimen, or similar treatments that may not require the attention of the physician. We adjust the number of slots as needed, but sometimes, like during a busy flu season, we “run out”. Calling at 8:00 am, is generally the best way to be sure your child gets a slot. Babies (and some toddlers) also should get the RSV vaccine shot just before or during RSV season (usually fall to spring in U.S.) if their mother didnt get the. ![]() We reserve slots each day for children who need to be seen that day for an acute illness or injury.
